I’ve been travelling across the globe and exploring different cities and cultures. Since I was on a vacation, I thought I should roughly conduct a survey wherein I approached a few people in the midst of local streets of Scotland and asked them about their thoughts on their definition of travel.
Anyway, travelling is something which has different meanings for every single person in the world. Some of them told that for them travelling is something that they do to escape from their hectic schedules and problems, some said that if they’ve got enough money, they spend it this way. For some, it is an adventure and few of them were actually like-minded to me as they love to explore around.
There are millions of reasons to travel. Many people travel the world because they find inner-peace in it. Some people travel just to get drunk and across the globe and create heaps of drunkard stories.
But for me, travel means many things. It means a lot to me. Travel is another definition of freedom – not exactly freedom but yes getting free in life, leaving all your worries behind. It’s about being able to do what I wish for and look forward to an excitement-filled day. Travel was an escape.
Not basically an escape but something which I wanted to do for a long time. Actually, getting rid of doing what I never wanted to do. Yes, you guessed it right 9-to-5. It is 9-to-5, which I felt like it is not my cup of tea. Travelling is about pushing myself to the limit and getting more comfortable in my own skin.
I have my own theories of course.
But it feels too good to ask people about their opinions on travel. For people, there might be different meanings of travel. So, I wondered, I should ask people about their perceptions on travel.
Now it’s your turn:
What is your definition of travel?
